Local renewable energy company Ploughcroft, based in Brighouse, made its own bid for gold by helping to raise money for the Diana Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF) at a special event held recently at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester. The event was a great success, raising over £12,000 for the foundation.
The Road to Gold Event, was attended by 200 guests, with the aim to raise as much money as possible for the charity which will benefit Britain’s Olympic hopefuls for the future and inspire young people to be their best through involvement in athletics.
A charity auction and raffle were hosted as part of the event and Ploughcroft successfully bid for over £3,000 worth of items, including a six-course gourmet meal for ten people, cooked by an executive chef, a racing car experience and a signed Usain Bolt World 100m Record photo montage. Ploughcroft plan to support the charity in other events in the future.
