The dedicated team of roofers here at Ploughcroft have been hard at work in Stratford-upon-Avon, where they have been busy carrying out a heritage building reroof for the National Farmers Union’s (NFU) head office.
This fantastic project has incorporated Knauf insulation between the rafters meaning heat will no longer escape from the building, making it a much warmer environment. This energy-saving measure will contribute to reducing the office’s carbon footprint and preventing the onset of problems such as condensation, draught and damp as we move into winter.
Roof insulation is also highly cost-effective; according to the Energy Saving Trust, it can cut the price of fuel bills by up to £250 a year. The NFU can expect to save over 50% of the heat which would normally be lost through this roof.
Take a look at the great photos below. We are sure you’ll agree the team are doing a wonderful job.
Keep an eye out for an updated post where we will have the finished photos!
