Clock Tower Heritage Roofing & Restoration, Huddersfield

heritage roofing listed clock tower

Kirklees Hall is a 16th-century Grade I listed Jacobean hall, close to the English village of Clifton in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. This property is situated within the grounds of Kirklees Park estate and the discerning homeowner required a competent company who specialises in heritage roofing within the West Yorkshire region. The property is Grade 1 listed and the grounds are steeped in local history and are believed to be the resting place of Robin Hood.

Water ingress was present to the old clock tower, the lead valley, and the stone slates. We worked with the family to ensure that the work and the scaffolding did not impose any difficulties for them, their family or pets!

We carried out the work over 4 days using the skills of our heritage roofers and our specialist lead worker to hand dress the stone slate and make the correct lead detail for the clock tower abutment.

It was a privilege to work on such a historical property which was left clean, tidy and watertight for years to come.
