Walsall can be found in the West Midlands and it is a large industrial town. It is located just to the northwest of Birmingham and east of Wolverhampton. The city is well connected to others by an extensive rail and bus network which makes commuting between the biggest cities in the Midlands a piece of cake. There is a mixture of rural and urban living and something for everyone. Surrounding boroughs include Brownhills, Bloxwich and Aldridge.

The industrial revolution seriously shook Walsall; it went from a mall village of 2,000 to a town of approximately 86,000 in just 200 years. There were a wide range of products that were manufactured in Walsall and some of these are saddles for horse riding, strong industrial chains, buckles and plated ware. Walsall is also home to a large supply of natural limestone and a quarry was erected in order to access this natural resource.

In 2000 a bit of culture was brought to Walsall as the New Art Gallery Walsall opened its doors. Inside the art gallery there are some very interesting pieces of modern art, and it has a large gallery pace which is generally used to host the more temporary exhibitions. In addition to its stunning art galleries it has two museums, the Walsall Museum and the Walsall Leather Museum; both featuring historical objects relating to the manufacturing trades and also a space for exhibitions.

Walsall's football club is called Walsall F.C., or known as the saddlers due to the county’s history and the first game they ever won was when they played against Aston Villa. Currently, the club are currently playing in Football League One in English football.
