Truro is the only city that is located in Cornwall, England. Currently the population of Truro is estimated to be around 20,000 and not only is it the only city in Cornwall, it is also recognised as being the most southerly city in Great Britain. The people from Truro are friendly and welcoming and they are known as Truronians.

Breaking records again but this time in Sports, Truro are home to Truro City F.C. which are the only Cornish football club to ever reach the Conference South tier of the English football pyramid. Nationally, the club was recognised when it won the FA Vase in 2007. Another sport that is enjoyed throughout Truro is Cricket. Truro Cricket Club plays its home matches at Boscawen Park and sometimes this is shared with fixtures for the Cornwall County Cricket Club.

One of the most recognisable and iconic structures in Truro is the Cathedral. Inspired by the gothic era, this cathedral was designed by John Loughborough Pearson and reaches 76 metres into the air. However, there are also plenty amenities for shoppers and Truro boasts a wide selection of markets, speciality shops and chain stores. The most popular market is Pannier Market; it is open all year round and sees many stalls and small business attending to offer their products and services.

Truro has also delivered some very notable people to the world. Joanna Thomas originated from Truro and is a professional female bodybuilder, and speaking musically Truro saw the both of the famous drummer from the rock band Queen - Roger Meddows-Taylor.
