Ploughcroft has been involved in the renewables and solar industry since 2006, as reputable solar pv installers and also providers of solar pv training courses to our own fitters and other companies. The experience and knowledge we have built up over this period allows us to give the best possible advice to our domestic customers regarding the many advantages and benefits that a pv solar installation can have.
With more than 3000 solar installations now completed, we have amassed a huge number of case studies of domestic customers delighted with our service and keen to recommend us to others. Below are just a few examples:
Case Study 1 - Mr & Mrs Smith
We would just like record our thanks for the way your representative Mr Guy Michell treated us this morning in response to our enquiry into your solar panel installation.
There were no hard sell tactics just straightforward facts and information.
After measuring and a few photographs he worked the cost. Which to our amazement was no where near the cost we anticipated.

Case Study 2 - Mr Buckley
Mr Buckley bought his 4Kw Solar PV system in April and has recorded his earnings since then.
After 18 weeks Mr Buckley has earned £736! - "Much better than any ISA" says Mr Buckley.
"The thing about Ploughcroft, they are a building and roofing company, and fixed brackets under the tiles. The lads were on time, did everything as they should have done, Perfect!

"If you paid the same money into an ISA at 3.5% the system would need to produce 4kw a day for the same return. My system has averaged at 14kw a day.

Case Study 3 - Mr Smith
Our installation was complex and difficult: old stone roof and long cable runs- which also had to be amended at the last minute.
The team's efforts were also compounded by atrocious weather conditions. Nevertheless their skill and flexibility ensured the installation was completed on schedule, to a very high standard and we are absolutely delighted with the results.

Case Study 4 - Mr Barbour
Mr. Barbour had his 4KW system installed in June 2010 for around £15,000.
Mr. Barbour has taken the unique step of updating his results to a website. He has done this to inform you the public just how successful a Solar Install can be.

Case Study 6 - Mr & Mrs Witton
Just to let you know that all is well with our photo-voltaic cells that were installed on March 2th 2010 now some 10 weeks ago.
From our point of view the installation process was straightforward and made easier by the helpful attitude of all the staff we were involved with. No doubt our property being a bungalow made the job simpler?
Since installation, Between March 2th and June 12'h we have generated 880KWh's of power which shows that the system works well.
Our old electricity meter in the garage goes backwards on a sunny day, when we have no major electric items in use, and that is fun to watch! Our electricity company has already reduced our monthly payments. We know it will be different in winter, but April and May have been excellent months for generating. We are very entertained by "SunnyBoys" constant information which we look at regularly.
We have two daughters, now adult and away from home, and we wondered whether they would approve of our purchase. Fortunately, they are both delighted to have "green" parents and are very interested as are our friends and neighbours.

Case Study 7 - Mr Nuttall
"I thought I would drop you an email to let you know how satisfied I am with the solar panel installation Ploughcroft have just completed for me. The scaffolders, your roofers and Anthony Lister have all been prompt and courteous and to my untrained eye the panel installation is neat and impressive. The only hiccup, as you know, has been late delivery of the inverter and Sunny Boy which was solely due to the wholesaler not keeping up with demand, but these were brought over and fitted as soon as they were available.
At first reckoning I think I shall be well on target for some £1,500 annual return under the new Government scheme which, compared to current building society rates makes the investment a "no brainer", even though at my age I don't expect to see out 25 years to get the full benefit! But then the panels will undoubtedly enhance the value of the house when we or our children come to sell it."
