Formally known as High Fernley Hall, this Heritage Grade 11 listed building is a family home situated in a rural location between Norwood Green, Halifax and Wyke, Bradford.

The building is believed to date back to 1698 and was built by the Richardsons of Bierley. The property has a two story coursed sandstone coped parapet front and stone slate roof with flanking chimneys and coped gable ends. The complex roof structure was in need of several new roofs including several low level roofs which needed the pitch altering.

We re-roofed the property and installed our Eco-roof thermal blanket to the main roof structure. Our specialist lead worker carried out the lead work to the lead gutters and all around the chimney stack. The Velux window was also renewed.

The pitch on the lower level roofs was altered to the correct pitch to accommodate the stone slates and our Eco-roof thermal blanket installed.

A warm roof system was installed to the flat roof areas in Sika Liquid Plastic which gave a seamless finish to the flat roof areas.

All the roofs are now ‘warm roofs’ and the property should be warm and cosy and be more energy efficient for years to come.
