Exeter is a city that is located in the English county of Devon. The city lies on the banks of the River Exe and is well situated between other major cities. Roughly 37 miles to the northeast you will find Plymouth, and Bristol is only located 70 miles to the southwest of Exeter. The estimated population of Exeter is set to be 120,000.

Exeter has been classed as a very prosperous place for a profitable business to be located. Part of this is due to the extremely good public transport links that are peppered across the city. It is home to two big railway stations, Exeter St David's railway station and the Exeter Central railway station. Furthermore, Exeter is connected to other English cities by the M5 and it is also connected internationally by Exeter international airport. This city is known for its tourism however it isn't a dominating industry.

Exeter is home to only one professional football team, and that is Exeter City. The football team is not as successful as the Exeter Chiefs, the rugby union team of Exeter, and the Chiefs currently play in the Premiership after having recently been promoted in 2010. In addition to this, the University of Exeter also has a strong foothold in the sport scene.

Famous people to originate from Exeter include Irene Vanbrugh who was a famous actress and died in 1949, Robin Davis a very able a talented pianist and since the age of 3 Tommy Cooper who is a famous comedian.
