Solar PV Roofer Job Vacancy

Ploughcroft Solar are the UK’s leading solar installers.

We are trusted installation partners for Vaillant, Wolseley (Plumb Centre), and N-Power. We are the only installers in England of the latest in Solar PV technology and the only solar installers in the UK with an NVQ accredited training centre.

Due to continual expansion, Ploughcroft require experienced, fully qualified Project Co-ordinators. Ploughcroft are well renowned for our excellent customer service and we are therefore looking for highly professional and competent individuals to join our team.

Applicants must be a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Roof Slating & Tiling and be able to demonstrate a high standard of workmanship. Good communication skills and a commitment to professionalism are essential as is a mature attitude. Applicants must also be passionate about customer care and be capable of delivering first class customer service. Only those applicants who can demonstrate a good knowledge and respect for health & safety and working at heights will be considered.

Previous experience within the renewable energy sector is desirable although training will be given to all successful applicants in our in-house NVQ accredited training academy in West Yorkshire

Applicants must be confident and be able to demonstrate an ability to carry out remedial roofing works.

A clean driving licence is essential and applicants considered for this position will be subject to CRB checks.

Should you wish to undertake this role on a self-employed contract, you will have the opportunity to join our Approved Ploughcroft Installer scheme. Ploughcroft will provide all solar compliance training in our NVQ training centre. However, you would be expected to provide the following:

3m long transit van (or similar)
Qualified and competent staff
Must carry public liability and employers liability insurance
12 month guarantee on workmanship
